Or any other type of catastrophic event (major earthquake, meteorite strike, military invasion, mass food riots, the next epassporte,...)?

i plan on being a zombie.

While becoming a zombie may not seem as glamorous as becoming a vampire or werewolf, you really don't hear many zombies complaining about their afterlife.

Because they are too busy looking for brains to eat to ease their pain...the pain of being dead. Eating brains makes the pain go away. (or so I was told in Return of the Living Dead).

And pain makes the hunger go away, as I was told in RotLD 3.

KInd of a funny thread, but it gets me thinking about some important stuff.

Yes. I'm prepared for attacks from zombies, at least the kind controlled by hackers, because
I have Strongbox and our other brute force prevention systems set up.

Our business is prepared for earthquakes, mass power outages, etc. because we have Clonebox.
We're also prepared for the next industry upheaval like ePassporte because we don't have
all of our eggs in one basket.

it was a good book I found. Had some interesting tips, but a little less about survival than telling a story of paranoia. This is where the shit starts getting good...

That's not all zombie computers and botnets can do. You prepared for DDOS attacks too?

It's a comedy I suppose a lot of the tips are relevant, but it's written for humor.

Ya, that's kind of what I gathered. Really prompted thoughts of Emergency, which was essentially the same deal. Might give it a read if I see it somewhere.
