WinXP, programs disappear from taskbar

Randomly, I have programs disappear from my taskbar. I would say once a day. Primarily its Firefox but TextPad (which is very light) just did it to me to. I bring up the task manager and then can find the program.

Getting really annoying. Anyone else run into this?

when explorer crash's it usually vanishes shit from the taskbar , it can crash and restart itself pretty quick you might not even notice.

And by the way, Win7 does same shit, so no need to upgrade from XP just because of that
