Wordpress. Awesome flexibility. I have not built a paysite with it yet, but I will be using it for paysites soon. Tons of plugins, tons of themes. Really well done, and well thought-out.

My weapon of choice is ALWAYS Wordpress. I've never found a need for anything else.
