FDCservers down due to extreme weather? - GoFuckYourself.com

So after the so many harddrive failure i decided to take a new packadge with 10 times as much Harddrive space for new users instead of 6 year old members.
Days of re uploading stuff and so on.

Server offline again.
After my complain email i get the following response:

After taking a whole new server just online, and now it would be offline by extreme weather?

Which facility Detroit or Chicago ... I could understand Detroit being out as that storm is pretty nasty and if their fiber is terrestrial then it could have easily been taken out and need repair ... but i cannot see Chicago going offline

It's not Detroit and Chicago, it's DENVER and Chicago.

I was with FDCServers for about 6 months, got tired of the constant network downtime so I switched. I'm with SecuredServers.com now and I've never been happier. Servers start at $58/mo for a dual core G6950, 2.8GHZ 250gig hdd, 1GB ram and 10mbps unmetered. Better hardware than FDC, and a way better network.

I have quad server with 8gb ram for literally pennies...
(bought trough resellers) so I got really good hardware with cheap bandwidth...
using it for some mainstream projects... hosting like 2gb on it on it

but burning bandwidth...

bad
had one hard drive failure and one network card replacement so far.
caused some downtime but nothing big...

conclusion
good for the money, but if someone would offer same server at same price I'd move...

Did you check out securedservers? Link in my sig. Close enough pricing, and the extra cost over FDCServers is WELL worth the more reliable network and much better support.

FDC is nothing but problems, pay a little more and get a better host. They are fucking horrible and they don't give a fuck when your shit goes down. They use cheap ass drives that fail constantly as well. Trust me just pack up and move to a better host and pay a little more, I know FDC is cheap but it will end up costing you in the end.

My server in Chichago is up. I have a server there since 2006 and I have to say it works very well and bw is super cheap. Only had network card failure once and it was replaced fast. I am in a process of taking another server with them (pending offer from webair)
