Best Slasher Films?

I've seen threads for best horror films, and zombie films, but not slasher films. What's your favorite slasher film?

Seems there's been a resurgence of the 80's type of slasher films complete with tons of blood and bouncing boobs

People tend to disregard slasher films because they're generally cheesey, have a piss poor plot, and just generally suck.

That being said, as a horror fan myself, I hold a special place for the cheesey, shitty plot slasher films, particularly those of the '80s.

I've always loved the entire Friday the 13th series (except Jason X), with Jason Goes To Hell being one of my favorites.

Also, Happy Birthday To Me and Maniac are some other favs.

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon was a more recent one that I enjoyed. It gave a different perspective to the slasher genre, though the ending was predictable.

4's not out yet...not even sure if they're finished filming it yet. Might be in post-production...

I heard about it, didn't know if it was out or not

Hope it's good

I enjoy the old japanese samurai movies aswell, like baby cart / lady snowblood / etc. Not excactly slasher movies but plenty of slashing in them (if you know what I mean )

Those are good too! Scream kind of revived the genre.
