Some bot is probably spamming siteadvisor.com with negative reviews on all pornsites

Some bot is probably spamming siteadvisor.com with negative reviews on all pornsites....

Can't be a person if he posts 1500 reviews per day....
With a 9/9 reputation of this reviewer, siteadvisor.com probably take such a review seriously unfortunatly.
This is the reviewer: http :// user . siteadvisor . com/ forums/member.php?u=19138

The review says:
"Warning, contains adult-rated porn. Porn sites are a frequent source of malware.
Also, you have to wonder what they intend to do with your credit card."

I already saw it on Adult.com, twistys.com, hotmovies.com, etc. etc. must be thousands of sites that got the same review I estimate.

I already emailed to siteadvisor.com for 3 of my sites I could find if they can take that untrue spam down.

This is likely to fuck up your seo google results I guess.

Better check your sites' www.siteadvisor.com status today to see if it has this issue.

Smart idea, just write a bot to give bad reviews for every site but your own.

Some weeks back I was in touch with the admins at Siteadvisor re some of my own sites and an unfair rating/comments. They responded fairly quickly for an operation of this size. 99% of my concerns was addressed and corrected. Pleasantly surprised actually.

You can find more suspect reviewers here:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/analysis/...ntType=rankAll

Many post the same generic negative reviews for many sites.

pretty sure awhile ago google was using the mcafee database to list spyware and warn users, they may have switched , either way people who have mcafee installed will be warned when visiting your site and sponsors sites if they are ranked low

Exactly.

Next to the fact that when you search google and have siteadvisor installed, you'll see grey or red small thumbs, instead of green/safe ones.

When it comes to google,no worry with that,i have instant notifier if there is problem with malware in eyes of google. But when it comes to false listings, that is a problem, because other safe lists marks all porn sites as bad(WOT,COMODO,etc)

My understanding is the independent reviews from users, negative or positive true or false, such as the OP reported do not have any affect on the rating siteadvisor gives sites. The rating is based on siteadvisors own tests.

For example my site has a green rating despite the reviewers erroneous review that my site sends spam. Of course it does not look good to any users that investigate user reviews of my site further on siteadvisor's site but I would not think it would affect search engine rankings as I would imagine search engines, if they use siteadvisor data, would use the siteadvisor ratings not the user reviews.

They answered my email but did not fix this problem for me. Any luck notime? Here is their reply:

Quote:
Thanks for writing and we appreciate your interest in our web safety page for this domain.

We're sorry that one of our users reported a bad experience here. As you'll note, the overall
rating has and will remain green barring the detection of web safety threats by our crawlers or a
significant influx of negative comments.

SiteAdvisor encourages its users to speak freely on its forums. We do not endorse user comments.
We rarely censor user comments, and this comment you refer to does not fulfill the criteria for
SiteAdvisor moderation.
So it appears enough negative comments can change a site's rating afterall. I guess we just have to hope other spam reviewers don't start doing the same thing. The only thing stupider than such a system is support who refuses to edit/remove a review that is miscategorized, contains false info and is done by an obvious spammer who has posted the exact same review for many other porn sites.

But as notime says, this commentor cannot be a person if he posts 1500 reviews per day.
Their moderation system sucks and they don't care.
