The first time a Judas fuckin' Priest song was ever done on AI. And it was actually fucking good!

James Durbin did JP's "You've got another thing comin'" last night and ripped AI a new metal asshole!

The only other highlight was Casey Abrams putting raw energy and emotion into Screaming Jay's "I put a spell on you."

Everybody else last night was either mediocre or sucked donkey balls.

I think there's a lot of good singers there, but I think most of the performances last night were very bland. Scott McCreery has a career in country music regardless of how he does on Idol. He's like the next Randy Travis.

Paul McDonald did a good job with Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" last night, and I think he's got an awesome singing style, but I'm afraid it won't catch on with most of America.

And I'm on the fence with Brett. My wife likes him...he's a bit, weird..lol, but he did pretty good with making The Doors' "Light My Fire" his own.

Tim was ok, and the rest were just boring performances to me. With the exception of course of James and Casey, who I already mentioned blew me away.

Yes, a kids show were Steven Tyler's comments get bleeped frequently. ("Hellfire, save matches, Fuck a duck and see what hatches!")

I enjoy music. And while I liked the "Rockstar" shows better than Idol (Rockstar: INXS and Rockstar: Supernova), the Rockstar shows never made it past two seasons. There's nothing wrong with watching Idol, just like Star Search used to be all the rage.

If you don't like Idol, don't watch it, don't come into threads about it, and don't discuss it. It's really quite simple...

I watch Top Model, too, because as a photographer, I enjoy watching the photoshoots they do. I don't care about high fashion, or the runway shit, but I still watch it.

but those 2 can sing!

nevertheless, i can never tell(wtf is pitchy?). i do get a kick outta the contestants singing their hearts out though.

That song was OK I guess. He can do good rock screams. He kinda comes off like he'd rather be doing WHAM songs for some reason. ?

I remember learning that song when it was brand spanking new. It's not the same without the guitars being front and center for me so maybe I'm too biased.
