I wonder what it would be like driving a tiny little car like that on the highway - big gust of wind or overtaking a truck would certainly be an interesting experience.

I drove a 914 for a couple of years, that was a tiny and low car. Much different than a truck or SUV.

I'm sure it's a-lot lighter than anything I've ever driven
Lightest car I EVER drove was my ex wifes mx-3
God damn the thing wasn't even THERE

She thought she was so cute and funny telling me about my cadillacs couldn't handle like that little car. Well yeah it was small but not so nimble or sporty. We had a race in city seeing if she could get away from me in my '79 Cadillac.... she couldn't.... And she couldn't keep up with me, either

I can fucking drive my old '79 no one EVER got away from me

It's smaller than a boxster and lighter. Small cars are not the most fun to drive on our highways, i've driven a few on our highways and have never really enjoyed it. Driving over bridges on a windy day - gaps in trees push the car across lanes, over taking trucks sucks the car towards the truck.

I dont think it would be any different than driving a motorcycle.

I think there are no problems with gusts and wind as the issue isn't weight, but "weight to traction ratio".

Lots of traction still means you can control it and weight isn't an issue.

A 914 weighed just over 2,000 lbs a boxster is about 1,000 lbs heavier.

true - the BMW 3 series from my biz partner always got almost blown from the road while in my (smaller & lighter) Porsche i don't even feel the wind, it's like it's nailed to the road

I had a silver 914 2.0 Was a cool car at the time. I don't know if my old knees would allow me to get in/out of one now.

I used to have VW City Golf (the engine was eiher 1100 or 1200, can't remember) and driving it on the hgihway was totally weird and quite frustrating

People drive motorcycles, what's the difference?

On a bike things get interesting when your at a stoplight and an 18 wheeler blows past you at 60mph. You get used to it.
