Why Do You Prefer Video Over Text?
Not a poll.
Why watch a relevant video, when you could read - and save - the text in about a quarter of the time? I hate watching "informative" videos. I have to sit through some idiot flapping his lips, and if I save the video - I have to watch him spew his crap over and over again. On the other hand, if you type your instructions I can easily folllow them, and refer back to them at a future date - without watching your idiot face flap its gums. Typing > Talking. |

I'm with you on this one - I hate idiots that have sales pages with video only or software products with video manuals only
on the other hand, good software video tutorials are in many cases better |

99% of the time I would agree but having recently wanted to do something a bit complicated with my phone and getting nowhere following written instructions (that had left steps out assuming you already knew them) watching a simple video of someone just going through everything made it really easy to do.

The videos themselves are not bad, but some of these guys don't know how to convey their message concisely. I had to endure a series of instructional videos, and every 30 minutes of footage involved stuff that could have been briefly and accurately explained in 3 minutes top, without me needing to know how cool his grammy is and if she bakes nice apple pies.

a video walk through is sometimes better. sometimes videos suck.

If it's just some short piece of info then I prefer text but if it's a longer tutorial I prefer a video.
