I used it for awhile with CCBill and Dolphin for a dating site. I have Nats running for my main project though and the limitations of amember by comparison with Nats were just pathetic.
It DID do it's job, mostly though. Aside from the obvious limitations of it only handling one site and one biller, the main thing that bothered me was: 1) Inability to break down sales by affiliate on a weekly basis. Amember assumes everybody is getting paid monthly so to do weekly commissions I had to examine each transaction individually, determine if it was a sale or a rebill (PPS model) big pain in the ass. 2) refunds and credits are not clearly visible by the affiliate, nor by the site admin. They seem to just be deducted from the overall stats. I had to dig them out of the billers stats and reports and compare emails with affiliate joins to see who was sending me refunds. Affiliates who get docked for refunds and chargebacks pretty much have to take your word for it, this is tricky because most of us know there's not a lot of trust in this industry. |
