Getting Thousands of Backlinks Question ..

I can imagine that White Hatters would obviously tell you to steer clear of people offering to submit your site to 1000's of directories, blogs etc...

But I've also seen some sites get to the top of google on sheer numbers of links, and they weren't quality or themed.

What has your experience been like if you've tried getting them. If it didn't help, did it hurt?

in my experience that's bs, if blackhat operation back fires, it's very hard to straighten it out... you might as well get a new domain then...

if it's just some useless site you don't care about, go for it, if you are lucky you will score some easy $$$, if not you can just get a new domain... rinse and repeat...

that's why blackhat is a blackhat, it assumes risk.
in case of any or unknown site getting millions of links instantly from news sources, blogs, forums, etc - will it fly right to oblivion from serps or will it see SE boost?
