Are you covered?

With insurance? When you're self-employed and have no other jobs but the ones you provide. It's easy to not add the 'heavy' monthly premiums of insurance. It's really not that bad. Stacking k's in the bank is great, until you fall down. Then say goodbye to everything you've saved. Before I had insurance I was stuck with an 8,000 bill for being looked-over and a glass of water during an ER visit.

Health $197.00 [Monthly] BCBS
Dental $32.09 [Monthly] BCBS
Term Life $31.86 [Monthly] BCBS <-- Cancelling this covereage, cheaper elsewhere and I have no children.
Vision N/A
Month Total: $229.09
Annual Total: $2,749.08

Automotive $138.70 [Monthly] Progressive
Annual Total: $1,664.4

Renters $69.00 [Quarterly] Assurant
Annual Total: $276.00

ANNUAL SUBTOTAL: $4,689.48 (Total without term life covereage)

Get total coverage for less then half an annual visit. Plus if you spend 7% your adjusted gross income (AGI). You get to write it all off

Friendly reminder to the others like me.

That's how I use too be. It's not worth the risk and it can be a business expense. It's just not a wise investment to go without coverage.

Full coverage life insurance and accident insurance for both of us. Of course car insurance, it's the law here, medical insurance is covered by the State and payed in our taxes. Also enjoying years of paying pension contributions now. Getting a nice little check each quarter.

Who cares about being sick? What happens when you fall down? When something normal happens, i.e. appendix burst. It's a risky one. $20k for a broken-leg ain't pimpin' [unless mobsters are involved].

The health insurance premium is very low, either you are young or there are to many holes in the coverage.

I would murder someone for full health coverage. I miss having a dentist and a regular doctor. It's been years and years. God damn it.

Insurance is a good thing to have. A good friend of mine is the best insurance salesman in the country (well - top five) and he's always telling me about the claims he helps his insureds file. You never know when shit is going to happen. If you don't have insurance sometimes they'll literally put your stupid ass out the back door.

These one idiots he told me about just last week decided to cancel their highly expensive $54 per month policy one week before they had a huge accident AND one of them had a heart attack. All in the same week. They would have been paid nearly $100k in benefits. . .

It's god damned fucking scary having a dead kidney and no insurance. It's fucking stupid not to insure yourself if you can afford it. Thanks to the US gunmint health care costs ten times what it needs to, and you should be insured against it. It's the only way to play the game with they way out system is "set up".
