I have an American friend in S. Korea who wants to make some money. He's in his mid twenties. He's an average looking guy, very smart, maybe a bit nerdy. He's teaching in S. Korea.

He is looking for a good money making idea, maybe somebody here can offer a suggestion. The business idea..

1. should preferrably be online
2. must be legal

Any ideas?

I know a ton of people what want me to tell them how to make money.

Sadly they do not want to do anything that is required.

Once a week a neighbor asks me to show him how to build a website and make millions. He doesn't even know how to change his desktop wallpaper. He's convicted he will build a successful website though.

I told him to go study SEO and tell me about some of the stuff he's learned and I will know he's taken action and I'd be willing to help.

He hasn't gotten back to me and won't get back to me because he doesn't want to do any work, just make money.

I didn't have somebody tell me to build my first website. I got the idea and did the research on my own in 1997.

Yup, most people don't realize that an "overnight success" takes 10 years of overnights..

Some sort of translation service for videos maybe. I've watched some music vids and variety shows on youtube that are english subbed. Not sure who would pay, maybe he should hit up the big music companies and tv companies there and feel out the idea.

if he is a teacher then tell him to get involved in doing to online tutoring or something. the internet gold mine is well tapped out of easy ideas

I have a few friends that do the exact same thing. one doesnt even have a computer but thinks having a website will make him rich. why are people so stupid when it comes to things online? its one of my biggest pet peeves
