an idea for ccbill and other paysites

With my host if I want to log into ftp I can set it to only my isp to log in.

Why not have isp only for paysite passwords to help prevent password selling?

Also for webmaster login.

For your members? I think that will piss a lot of people off... Whether it be accessing from home, work, hotel, or phone... I know there are a couple of scripts out there that I'm sure someone can recommend that prevents password sharing using some sort of logic.

For the members' area Strongbox considers the ISP as one of several factors. Besides having it match the user's last login, some ISPs are treated differently than others. Aol versus a university, for example, gives a hint as to whether it's being shared. The ISP isn't a reliable test BY ITSELF, but is good in combination with other factors that Strongbox considers.
