OpenX question: New advertisers for new campaigns?

Do you create a new advertiser for each campaign or do you just have one advertiser and use campaigns for each new sponsor?

What? I dunno either...

Do you have for advertisers:

Nasty Dollars
TCG
AFF
etc.

Then campaigns:

fling
aff
cams
coedsneedcash
mrbigdickshotchicks
etc..

Or do you just use one advertiser and only create campaigns?

Why on each...?

OpenX wants you to do the example you gave, but I doubt many people do it that way, takes way too much time

I have many advertisers to many campaigns with many banners per campaign. The stats i see because of this mean i can really see what is working and what is not. "but I doubt many people do it that way, takes way too much time" Surely if your going to do something do it right... f**king hate lazy people!

"Is it possible to track clicks to an iframe?"

If i understnad your question correctly you can get an invocation code as iframes, javascript and as an image tag. All of these allow for tracking within OpenX.

My tracking clicks to iframe question...

I get an iframe from Fling. I put it in as an HTML ad. But now there is no tracking on clicks because of this. Is it possible to get some tracking so I know the banner was shown 400 times and clicked 18 of them?

On entering this shit in... I never realized how many "ads" I had until now...

Actually I create an advertiser for each sponsor company. Then I create campaigns for each of their sites and type of placement (tube, blog, tgp, etc) on my end. This lets me see the stats in a more meaningful way at a glance. I have no idea about your iframe question. I think you'd have to intercept the click in some way to do that.

I wonder if you could do something clever such as write your own Iframe which would display their iframe and also track the click and pass it off to theirs. Or something like that! This might help too http://forum.openx.org/index.php?sho...&#entry8 3661

Sorry if i didnt hit your question but be aware iFrames only work on smartphones not the non-smartphones so if you have traffic in the EU keep that in mind

Last edited by CamChameleon; 08-18-2011 at 11:45 AM.. Reason: spelling correction (non-smartphones)
