I have never seen this before

For probably close to a year, if you found PimpsPromo on Google it has come up with six categories under it. Today I happened to go there and notice there were 12 there now.

I have never seen that many under any other site. I even looked at Wikipedia's Google listing and they only have six (but they do have that cool search box, I'd love to get that).

Has anyone ever experienced this? Was it temporary or do you still have it?

Good deal, thanks. Now, how do you get one of those search boxes wikipedia has? Do I need 1 billion plus results like they have?

Guess it depends on your definition of tons.

the number of new site links depends on search phrase now.

One website can have once 4 and once 12 - depending what people search for...

You will find more details in Google Webmaster Tools.

I read something on googles blog when the extra search box came in that it was for sites where they knew people would want to search for something specific.

That makes sense, so I Googled Amazon.com . . . and it does not have one. Have you seen one elsewhere?

I believe the humans at Google have decided that wikipedia is an especially good site, so wikipedia may get special things. To have a similar search box, one may have to convince the people at google that your site is as useful as wikipedia, and useful to as many people.

That's Googles "search within a site" search box. Info from Google here. From what I've read those are for mega sites and used to help Googlers find more precisely what they are looking for.

More about the sitelinks listings you were curious about.
