Amazing 1 guy only had the courage to admit that booked an xxx.
I have 50+ com domains, sure I not buy 50 xxx's given the price and uncertainty of usefulness. And I fully understand who own 100's or 1000's of .com domains and hearing he is supposed to re-buy all them in xxx at 10 times a com price.
But I booked 2 of mine: chatgf.xxx and tubecamgirl.xxx at networksolutions, and not shy to tell it. I do not boicott does not mean I support, or I had it done before like ifriends.xxx done.
So I paid then got 2 pages of stuff to do including I should upload a file in chatgf.com and tubecamgirl.com so they can verify I really have access to it.
2 pages of steps to do is too much for a busy guy so I not read or made it yet, but for the curious guys (boicotting ones too) here it is what the sunrise AD steps are:

This is actually the most insightful post of the thread imo. At least there is a process to how these registrations will go and will keep people from domain squatting.

Putting limitations on anything or regulating content via tld seems pretty unconstitutional (as per US standards), so I can see the perspective of the boycotts. At least there are going to be some rules about who can have what names so anyone holding out until the last minute won't (read:shouldn't) get left in the dust.

Well, if I understood correctly, pre-owning a domain it not means .com only, so anyone with yourdomain .info or .biz or .net or .org or yourdomain.notrelevant , can get the yourdomain.xxx in place of you, no matter you owned yourdomain.com - for for sunrise AD, where only pre-owning domains (with any .something) counts.
I read it goes into bidding, if yourdomain.biz and yourdomain.info try to register yourdomain.xxx (all of which is eligible the same as yours!), so who pay more the bid wins, not who registered first, it goes auction.
Unless you filed a trademark before september, but not many in adult are used to file for trademarks really, so I think most will go into domain pre-owning and bidding .info's against .com's pre-owners.
So cybersquatting it can be done (if I understood correctly) by whoever have yourdomain .info or .biz or net or org or whatever, if you not register yourdomain.xxx (as 99% of the people here in GFY are stating) and these cybersquatters own yourdomain.info, .biz. .net etc. they can take it and it is theirs finally - you can not buy it later "because you own the .com", as the .biz or .info ones got it before and it is legit.
Even if you try to register your xxx now, if a guy with the .info or .biz also tries, you both end up eligible then it goes on auction bidding between you 2+. Unless traedemarks in place, but trademark owners have another sunrise process, not involving domains.

funny, i know known respected companies that are jumping on xxx now, will not post ant names as i dont want to make any drama for them, but every day another company is registering xxx, and not only brands, just nice keywords ... if you think about it, there is still many of free great keywords that can be used same as with any other tld, just it is more expensive and who knows how long before xxx is banned on providers ...

I'm trying to buy a few .xxx domains that I own the trademark and .com to but they're giving me a hard time. They have the name as "Reserved by ICM Registry". When I ask them about it, I get their canned answer:

Who is the person that replaced Chris at ICM? Anyone have a telephone contact number for them?

true, expensive it is, so you will be not buying hundreds of them but you have to think what to buy what can sell and what can bring the money back. i have domains that are making thousands in year, so there is no reason to not invest 200 if you see the money coming back. but i dont have any trademarks and i have no past problems with the people behind it so i dont know all the points of view maybe it is a real pain for tm owners ... lol ... just my btw, i dont say i support it or not, i am just trying to look at it in revenue way ...
