Here is my point of view: i have nothing against ukraine or ukrainian people.
For example, i don't want war and i don't think that they are really nazis (like hitler) or something like that.
Here in france, when you say something against the new-world-order-faggotery or if you are proud of your country, you are a nazi... But for them, it is for example not possible to be an european nationalist. (Tell me how it is different ?)
Hegemonic Europe = good ? Independant France = bad ? why ? See what's happend in greece. (yes the french policy was somewhat inconsequent)

I think that what happened at Maidan Nezalezhnosti was in fact plotted by europe and the usa, probably to destabilize russia and to take it over in the future, so i don't think that putin can really do something else...
I know that a possible war is not supposed to be funny, but i'm amused with the fact that someone stands off against this attempt to enforce this "one world= one country", new world order.
Ukrainian people are victims of this situation, i wish them good luck with europe... (especially if they is really so much nazis)

There is too much history that I don't understand to say if parts of Ukraine should be ceded to Russia - However, I do feel that Putin has taken this opportunity to make a land grab and has orchestrated a lot of what has happened after the interim government was put in power...

It's not the way it should happen, and I think that Russia should be sanctioned extremely heavily - None of the meaningless crap we have issued so far.....

Crimea was a good thing. I know people from there. They grew up Russian and speak Russian and always thought they were Russian. Then one day oops they were Ukranian. When it was given to the Ukraine back in the 50's it was billed as accounting move. Sort of like giving the Michigan UP to Wisconsin as it is easier to manage.

I understand supporting Crimea occupation, but definitely not what Russia is doing right now in other parts of Ukraine. You must be disgrace of a human being to support that. That is why I wanted to see a public poll.

Democracy is the vote of the MAJORITY over the minority and when it comes to territories, if you want referendum, make it a national one and only THEN it might carry some weight. If the whole of Ukraine voted to join Russia, Mars, or the Moon, I would have cared less.

Now the two neighbors that at least used to tolerate if not like each other will be enemies for the next who knows how long, yup, pretty awesome. Russia is really playing it smart, one more enemy at their border and waking up the half-asleep NATO, which is most likely going to take the chance and expand East as much as it can.

I live 250 kms away from Ukraine. We know very well the Russians and the Ukrainians.

Simplistically: the Russians give us gas, we give them food and other stuff. Everyone pays. While the Ukrainians are freeloaders. The ukrainians fucked us and probably stole our gas 5 years ago (gas crisis).

I'm not sure about this. Crimea is the biggest winner of Ukraine crisis. Ukraine is going to default + VERY tough IMF reforms. They are now part of Russia, higher salaries, pensions, lower taxes, better life... Do not blame them. 95.5% of voters in Crimea have supported joining Russia
