Can you log on to 2 or more wireless networks with 1 adapter and 'merge' them so you could use them with 1 browser/ftp prog etc.?

I would need it to work upload and download....

That's called a bridge. You need two wireless cards. If it's very difficult to add another radio, double check - can you connect with one using a cable? Wire gives a far better connection anyway, so if you have the choice of buying a second wireless card or buying some CAT6 cable and two jacks, buy the cabling.
