TGPs MPGs - What is their like these days?

Call me old fashioned, but I've got an urge to produce and submit some gallerys these days...

I was just wondering how they are holding up against the tube sites?

Is producing and submitting galleries to them still worth the effort?

To be honest, I have not submitted a gallery in probably 6-7 years.

I have heard people still getting listed at The Hun.

I would think buying gallery spots is still some what of an option. Last time I looked years ago they were over priced unless you had something converting amazing.

I would recommend two alternative paths. First option I would consider is building a TGP in a niche where people still love seeing pictures ( Maybe non nude / solo girl / erotic ) and build custom galleries for it yourself. Then feed traffic to the galleries with your TGP by building trades. I would think most of the submitting game is dead and you could generate a lot of the same traffic on your own.

Second option I would consider is launching a high quality blog focusing on the same type of niche selection as the TGPs and try and grow in the SERPs by building it up over months and months.

I am always a fan of building your own internal traffic sources so those are the routes I would take. Maybe gallery submitting will do better than I think since so many small webmasters have left over the years.

Good tip. I am in for the blog traffic results. I posted in a couple of forums with my blog link in my signature. I also done On-Page SEO, submitted to directories (The Hun - but it takes long until they accept the submission) and link exchanged with a couple of blogs on my niche ( GF ).

Getting new visitors is only half the job, the other job and what I consider the main factor in growth is giving people a reason to come back to your site. I have grown many large and a few huge TGPs ( I know yours is a blog, I will use TGPs as an example ) in the past, while everyone was focused on their trades and algorithms, I focused on the website itself. Providing the newest & best content possible before any of the competitors I traded with, taught myself to crop literally the best possible thumbnails to grab attention, and constantly tweaked the feel of my websites. It's an essential part of growing your website, you need to focus on creating a website that appeals to the most possible of people.

Say your website gets 100 visits a day, but only 5% are bookmarking. After a month you have 150 daily bookmarkers. Not that great.

Let's say you made some tweaks such as colors or layout and improved your content selection, now the surfers are loving the new feel and new fresh content. Your bookmark rate raised from 5% to 15%. After a month you have 450 daily bookmarkers. This is strictly an example, but you can see how important bookmarker retention can be to your results. You can buy 100k a day of feeder, but it means fuck all if your site sucks or is forgettable.

You sound like you are on the right track with the SEO stuff, just keep finding places where you can spread your url around and get back valid PR results. Just think outside the box and do something new or different than the rest. It's easier than it sounds. Especially in the GF market, it may seem saturated, but there is room for enormous growth in that market, just find your hook.

Also, I would like to add, Google is brilliant, they are putting a lot of techniques in place to give you better rankings based off your bookmark retention. They want to reward websites that provide something that surfers love. It's good business for them to do so.

One last tip, there is no fucking secret to any of this. Many webmasters will make you feel like they have something special hidden in their closet to give them great results. It's all bullshit, just work hard and create a great product for people. They will notice.

tgps and mgps still bring in converting traffic. less traffic than years ago but profit is profit.

speaking of profitability, we have a special tgp project for our site owner's group (and anyone who wants to join). you can either choose 1 or 2 galleries per day for $350 or $600 respectively. gallery submission will go out every day in January. this is an incredibly cheap way to see if tgps still work for you!!
