netbook for video edition etc.

recommend me please some fast yet not expensive netbook...for video cutting/editing, programs with multithreads etc.

I'd think video editing would be te one thing I wouldn't want to do on any netbook. You could use VNC or similar (or even command line if you're geeky) to control it from the netbook while the real work is done on a beefier machine.

I agree any real video editing is going to need to be done on a built computer. but alien ware has a powerful netbook. cost me around 1k

it is simple video editing like converting to other formats, adding logos, cutting...

nothing difficult, the point is that while my current acer does video task in let's say 100 sec, i would need it to be done in 30-40 sec....

I think video editing on a netbook would be painful. Most of those things have an Atom processor.

Looks like what I have, it's the only netbook/laptop I have ever seen that can actually play the raw video from my canon eos 7d

I have a netbook with a dual-core amd which is supposed to perform better than the intel atom and even just photoshopping the thing is pinned at 100% usage
