I started uploading in 2006-2007 and as I remember there wasn't any file-host that pay for downloads, I'll continue like that.

Getting paid for downloads/sales was just a motivation for uploaders and a promoting for the file-host.

Surely will go on. It's not about the money, that's just nice-to-have. I started when there was no money in that, so nothing really changed.

Basically what we up loaders do is try to do is not let companies take our money for their shit.
