I'd have gone more the horror route. I prefer blood and guts to flashy explosions, when it comes to effects.
That said, I love that anyone with an idea can make a quality short, or even feature with any sized budget. I spend a lot of time watching shorts. This one was good. But there are lots of really good ones out there too. Here's one of my favorites. It was shot on a Canon 7D and is awesome from the moment it starts to the point the end credits go black. |
