Accepting credit cards online

I've had a hard time with my merchant account for taking credit cards online. I mean, getting an account is hard enough, but the discount rates I'm paying now are astronomical. Twenty years ago it was like 2-3%; now I'm paying 30%. My business is relatively small, maybe that has something to do with it.

Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone steer me to a bank for taking credit cards online with a resonable discount rate?

thanks

RACER

Hello RACER,

NETbilling can help you with your processing needs for Mainstream and High Risk processing. Because of our extensive portfolio, we are able to get our merchants rates that other providers can't.

If you are interested please send me your details and I will get you a quote for processing.

I am looking forward to hearing you.

We can help regardless of your business size or monthly volume. I could also recommend some others if we are not the best fit for your needs.

Please contact me and tell me more about your project.

This will end in tears. Might not be today, might not be next month, but those clowns will not last.

2Checkout are very good if it`s a mainstream product/service but I`m thinking that with 30% rates, it`s something considerably high risk? (adult/casino/gambling?).

It's adult, but the company has been in business for nearly 25 years and taking credit cards for over 20 ... we have like 2 chargebacks per year max (always for less than $200.00) and excellent history with all of our financial services. The rep at our current (30%) merchant bank says all the banks are doing this to adult businesses now. I don't know how true that is, except that we've had a hell of a time. We've changed credit card processors like 4 times in the past couple of years, they keep dropping us; last year we had no processor at all for 4 months, almost put us out of business.

A couple of years ago Bank of America, without warning, froze our business checking account completely, all they'd let me do was close it and get a check for the balance. Their rep told me that BofA no longer handles ANY adult businesses at all. We switched to Wells Fargo.

I think the problem is that you are using companies that are targeting mainstream instead of the adult business. The 3 companies mentioned in this thread will all give your a better deal than 30% since we specialize in adult.

If you want to hear more about what http://www.Zombaio.com can do for you send me a email with your more information about what your company do to [email protected] and we can take it from there.
