Can anyone here recommend a juicer?

I've seen some threads talking about the subject a while ago but I would love to here some recommendations.

I'm clueless, is there really a big difference in these things?

Post some Amazon links.

Someone just posted about this a couple weeks ago. A lot of good info in that thread. I personally use an 8000 series juicer from Omega.

I just use a big spoon and a pitcher... mix the cool-aid & water with some elbow grease. Blue is my favorite.

I was told that if you're serious, you get a Vitamix.

It could have just been my girl making it easier for me to stomach the fact that she'd just ordered a $500 fucking blender.

Bought a Blendtec blender instead of a juicer. Make smoothies and soup in it.

There is only one way to go, and that is with http://www.williams-sonoma.com/produ...ice-extractor/

Yes, it costs more, but it is worth it. Here is why.

It has a 1200w motor. That is a very important feature. Power is everything when it comes to getting the driest pulp. I have used less powerful units and experienced the lack of juice that you get. While you may pay more in the beginning, the amount you save in produce will easily make up for it.

It is easy to use, easy to clean and gives dry pulp. It is the best for home use IMHO. I have been using mine for 18+ months and it is used almost every day.

Juicing for 17yrs now..... I bought a Green Power Juicer 17yrs ago to give an idea of how long they last.... literally no comparison to anything under $1000 period.

If you got a few bucks.... Green Power Juicer for hard veggies/fruits....and a vitamix for smoothies and the sort...and to keep some fiber in your diet.

My vitamix I bought at goodwill in Soho/NYC 15yrs ago..for $7 (still going strong)

So I see daily how long those two items last... pricey to buy..but worth it.

We got this as a wedding gift.. and a replacement to our 20 year old juicer.. and we are SOO happy with it

http://www.amazon.com/Omega-VRT350-D.../dp/B00434JINO

slower juicers are better because they don't force air in to the juicer

go to youtube and watch some of the videos..

vitamix and blendtec are often considered the best. I went with blendtec as you don't need to push stuff into it and it is not as high so it fits on the counter.

Save your money on all the expensive plug in models..they are a pain in the ass to clean ..big and just not worth the time and effort ..unless you are a "juice head" who drinks them with every meal..

This is all you need for your basic juice needs :
