What do affiliates want?

This is a serious question because I'm a bit confused..I have been an affiliate for years and promoted a bunch of different programs...but as ratios have gotten worse and worse, I decided to make my own pay site that would address all the issues I felt were keeping ratios low to other programs...I promote 3d toon type sites and have been for 10 years. So I launch my site and email alot of other sites that promote the same as I do and I can't get anyone to come aboard...I'm really at a loss as to why
I even started a friends section on my main page to send traffic back to top affiliates.

So question, what am I doing wrong? I know most on this board don't promote 3d toons, but I see ads for 3dtoons on most of the big tubes.
AND PLEASE, constructive negative criticism is more than welcome, but please, to the worthless who add nothing to this board-- I will pre-post "there is no money in porn", "your site sucks",ect ect....go post in a "boobs" thread

- Good selection of promo material, easy to access.
- Fair affiliate program with reasonable limits, no leaks or scams.
- Sites which convert well

When you do a niche like yours the selection of webmasters in that niche is already low. Because of the drop in sales over the years many of the webmasters with 3D sites in the past may not be very active in the industry any longer. The Zombaio might turn some off who prefer ccbill. I'll join a Zombiao program myself if I think ti will convert well but I tend to join more ccbill programs because I know the system and see them as reliable. I forget what the Zombaio minimum is but ccbill is $25 and almost everyone makes that at least each week with them. If Zombaio's is much higher many affiliates may be hesitant to push a zombaio program. Not arguing here that Zombaio is bad just telling you how it is.

I did notice that, but the fact that they keep advertising it, shows that there is interest from general surfers to see this type of content, no?

Aside from the obvious: $ and easy to convert, here's my bitch list:

• Fresh, unique content that is updated regularly to retain members.

• FHG's with a good hotlinkable Thumb and detailed descriptions (not just the thumb, and not just 3 words).

• Hosted Banners.. (or better yet, stuff like fling/nastydollars/bangbros/muffia's switcher banners)

• Short tube feeds/dumps with detailed descriptions.

• Morphing Blog Feeds (that are updated.. not stalled since 2008, and NOT loaded with 12+ fucking links per post.. 2 or 3 is fine.. Jesus leave my OBL total alone will ya??)

• Low payout thresholds with multiple options for payment (fuck that $300 minimum shit or wire only, etc..)

• options for console free, etc.. (most offer this, and those that ignored affiliate request to do so and did not are pretty much out of business in my opinion.. cough.. <maxcash>.. cough)

• if you change processors or change from one setup to another (i.e.: going to NATS), do the work to intergrate

• affiliates old codes into it, don't make them remove thousands of links and galleries and replace them, cuz they will most likely be pissed and say fuck off...
  

And then these 2 obvious ones, but appear to be rare lately:

• Support that replies promptly and doesn't act like a douche when you ask them why they might think your ratios suddenly went from 1:2146 (for several years) down to 0:35988 cough... <21sextury>.. cough (not even sure how that is possible.. but the dude got pissed at me and said it was my traffic.. the same exact traffic that converts for everyone else at 1:300 up to the WORST of like 1:4000

• And lastly, one that does not go out of business or one that does not stop paying webmasters.

I would have thought the most important aspect to any affiliate was the money. So conversions are most important compared to the content available for the affiliate to use. If they can make a sale from 300 uniques just from a text link, it's worth promoting.

Also a program with high retentions & low chargebacks would make a worthy bonus in choosing a good program I would have thought

Paid spots don't necessarily mean it sells. It does get eyes on the product though and makes people THINK something is selling
