The reason I said check htpasswd file is that I have had that file go to 644 for no explained reason. When that happened ccbill sales came to a hault. I've actually had a cron installed to check that file 1 time every minute to make sure it is set to 666. I also asked if he tried to signup to his own site and no answer. Either he has me on ignore for some reason or, imo, he has another agenda. Not posting the site(s) and claiming sales totally stopped is a red flag in my book. |

On the bright side if the temperature trend continues this way then you can be assured many will be staying indoors all summer and that could defeat the usual summer slowdown for some...hypothetically of course |

We recently changed our account at ccbill to activate account grouping. We added a new site 2 weeks ago and plan to add more. CCBill admin told us we would have to have affiliates sign up all over again. As you can imagine 150 affiliates were less than happy. However, we now see sales from old system and new system accounts. Meaning sales from affils who signed up all over again and from affils who did not. I guess its good...at least I hope it is.
Have had a ticket into ccbill through tier2 for two weeks now. I am told to expect an answer by end of this week, I presume tomorrow. Something is up. Our sales were rocketing before but not in March... Any detectives familiar with how to detect malware on servers? Or is the Visa/MC lawsuit already affecting porn peeps? |

this one ? http://www.creditcards.org/article/m...-lawsuit-.html I pretty sure that there is also a problem with visa (that's probably why ccbill declines so much transactions) |

CCBill needs to lighten up on the scrub... for sure. All this fraud detection is interfering with legit sales... back to OP though... I stick by my previous post. How about a reply? |

Not posting my sites and claiming no sales, is me not fucking telling you what my sites are and that I have had no sales. You were wrong about me ignoring you, so maybe, just maybe, you are wrong about the red flag? Fuck. Are you having problems with no sales using CCBill? If not, then this thread doesn't concern you. Get the fuck out of here and go be a dick in another thread. Im so sick and fucking tired of fucking assholes who think everyone owes them something. If you feel like your just trying to help, well I appreciate it, but stop being a fucking asshole and thinking there is more to the story. I actually fucking like a few people Ive met from CCBill, so Im not trying to fucking troll and hurt their business. If you read the fucking thread you would see that. As far as my password file, it shows the mark of the beast. And to answer your other question..... because Im not a fucking cunt... yes, I did sign up to one of my own sites and the transaction went through. So in your fucking book, that must mean my sites are shit. In your book, it must mean "problem solved" You should really get another book. Bottom line, Im frustrated like a motherfucker. Im pulling my fucking hair out. I pay money for hosting, I pay money for visa. I put a lot of hard work and effort into my sites and to see sales come to a sudden stop is not something you take lightly. This is supposed to be a webmaster community. But is it really? Do you really have to second guess EVERY motherfucking post someone makes? Maybe this thread is beneficial for someone else that is having the same problem? How in the fuck do you or I know unless someone makes a fucking thread like this? |

As an affil I gave up on CCbill about a year ago. No offense but if all I had to promote was CCBill I would be long out of biz.
So those who say they only trust CCBill.. I dont agree. These were my BEST progs since promoting CCBill since what 1999.. (progs that payed as well as ND, Top Bucks, Scorecash ect in their prime. in order, best ever on top: - Porn Mega Bucks (early days, sites are way outdated now) - Online Booty Call (recurred forever and converted like nuts, gone to Pepperjam and pay only $25 pps which killed them for an affil) - See My Bucks (prob the best prog lately) - Blue Pixels Profits (nice prog for a while) - FTV Cash (still pretty good prog I hear) So there were some REAL good CCBill progs as shown above but a LOT of non converters too. And in fairness a ton I never tried. Just like many of you never tried Online Booty Call, there are always diamonds in the rough. |

What I found was permission settings got changed on that file, 3 times I found it. I have no idea why... could be just the anomoly of having a server, could be sentry, could be a server transfer (unlikely since I found it 3 times).... But just contact ccbill if you don't know where your htpasswd file is located and make sure your permissions are set correctly. I first found this issue back in 2008 so it is not new. |

Anyhow best luck to the OP. Shit crashing and burning (sales stopping) is everyone's nightmare so hope they pick up.
![]() The one good thing about CCBill is they give long term honest recurs which over time usually do well so I havnt really given up on them just havnt found any super good sites to promote. Off porn stuff does well like Online BC and also Utherverse did GREAT when they were with CCBill then tanked when they went on their own (altho some still did ok after). So I think as Frank said maybe it is more.. someone has got a better product and taking your sale rather than CCBill being at fault. Maybe. |

However, I have been at this a long time. I started out as an affiliate back in 96. When you are making sales on a consistent basis and still maintain decent traffic sources, and then all of the sudden, come to a 100% stop for an extended period of time, you might tend to ask others if they are getting the same results as well. That's what this thread is all about. I just want to know, if anyone else has experienced a complete shutdown in sales. I see some negative feedback from people that promoted ccbill programs, but I want to hear from people who run ccbill affiliate programs. |

The beginning and middle of this month have been good actually. But all this means is that I might as well sell off all my traffic for the rest of the month because I am going to be converting at 1:20,000 until then. That's the way it always is with CCBill.

I mentioned this in another thread, but it seems fitting it should also be mentioned here.... Feb 13th was the day they implemented the phone verification process. Ironically, that is the day my sales died.

We use only ccbill and have for almost six years, before that we had our own gateway and account. Sales have slowly eroded since 2001, regardless of processor. It is a different market than we saw in 1996 when we started in this business. Do not blame the processor for decreased sales. Ccbill has been good for us we eliminated a lot of overhead when we moved to them and I do not regret the decision.

yes, but no...
This is a global evolution, but this evolution is not steady... If in a week my ratio is 1/1350 and a week later it is 1/7000, there is a problem for me. But this ratio was perhaps 1/350 in 2001... That's something else. |

Had a quiet few days with CCBill sales here but I think it's just the way the current climate is. I'm running an experiment and have set Verotel as my primary processor for type in traffic. Found that I can cascade with Nats to have all CCBill affiliate traffic go to the CCBill join page and all type in traffic to go to any biller of my choosing and cascade appropriately.
Had a slow trickle of sales with Verotel today and a few CCBill rebills so all isn't too bad. |

Well, if everything is doing well (as far as sales) and all of a sudden, theres a huge drop, (and you have not changed a thing) than I would assume the billing company may have changed something or maybe their join page was not working at some point.?? However, I have had great sales (in the past) and then one month it just flopped too. And I checked with both billing companies and all was up to par on their end... Some times there may not be a reason for sales declining and join ratios rising...

You would think after all these complaints CCbill would take a second look at some of their scrub factors and see if something is a bit off. All it takes is something stupid such as requiring the zip code to *exactly* match a GeoIP database versus allowing a bit leeway. Everyone makes mistakes. CCBill is such a professional company I am surprised the upper level management does not take these complaints more seriously. People bitch about the admin system but it mostly works fine. This on the other hand directly effects sales.
Even as an affiliate the ups and downs (which almost always come in the same pattern) are very frustrating. I've been a huge fan of CCBill in the past but I can't help but think of all the money I am losing and in these times you can't afford to throw money away like this. |
