Disable CPU Core Parking For Multi-Core Processors

Shit...I missed doing this awhile back when overclocking my i7 920 intel chip.

You should disable cpu parking to fully unleash all of the cores' power.

Here is the video

This guy is a bonehead.

For one thing, I can't find that registry value, and another thing is that once the system needs the parked CPU, it will unpark itself and all power will be used at 100%. It doesn't matter if its parked when the computer isn't doing much. It's using all that it can depending on how the app is coded to take advantage of multicore.

Not true, while encoding video that uses multi threading my some of my cpu cores stayed parked.

After disabling cpu parking, all my cores are now active and a definite speed booster especially while encoding video.

That shouldn't happen really. When I use my 3d rendering software, all cores are always used at 100% when needed. Maybe editing software is different, but that would be weird for the system to nerf itself.

Nice! I just did it on my i7 and immediately saw that 4 of my cores were parked. Did that little trick and now they are all on and working.

Cores are parked when they are not needed. It doesn't matter if you have it set to unparked when idle. Parking is just a power saving tool.
