Watched it in the summer of 77 sitting on top of a truck in lawn chairs behind the drive in. The sound was delayed by the distance, but it was still pretty damn cool. You said it, Chewy.

Great trilogy, (I will never accept that Lucas made 3 more, and they rank up there with his "Holiday Special" ) These never cease to make me laugh though

thx for making me feel old ... saw it at the movies back then when it hit the theatres ... there was a real hype about it and - man! - the cinema was sold out instantly ... lol, no miracle, it was DAY ONE hehe

I remember going to see that movie opening day. My brother and I were first in line of about 18 people. The next playing was sold out and had a line around the mall of people waiting.
