Particularly now, in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics, walking around London means being surrounded by brand messages broadcast from every available speck of space. However, if you looked closely enough in the last few days, you may have noticed that some of these advertisements were a little off. Rather, they weren’t ads at all, but anti-ads, placed in ad space by a group of artists on a mission.

Totally free, if you can afford some big paper and paste

I like the idea, and agree with some of the principles, but at the same time they are using the "anti-advertising" to advertise themselves in a lot of ways.

Yeah that is one thing I thought, they are plastering over ads which are meant as publicity, to gain themselves publicity.

Kind of hypocritical, but then in order to get their message accross, they perhaps needed it.
