Removing File lockers and similar will do little to porn sales.

for those thinking it will, here's why you're about to be disappointed. For this we will assume, wrongly, that all the file lockers will stop pirating porn.

Consumers of porn follow content. no matter what you say ultimately good or bad porn the consumer will go and stay where the porn content is the best for him. Traffic is uncontrollable, it's people who have wills of their own. If you don't give them what they want, they will go to someone who will.

In the very early days no offline porn business could be bothered to worry about BBS or Newsgroups. Even though free it was not competing. As soon as TGPs came out, magazines took notice. No longer did a person have to buy a magazine with 8 sets of 20 pictures for $5. 100s of TGP sites were giving out 8 new galleries of 20 pictures a day. some of the people who were buying magazines were now getting the free option and a few per 1,000 were buying. not clicks on a link.

By 2004, long before cheap BW, magazines were really feeling the pinch. Now we know the damage done.

Same with videos. Why pay $30 for 5 scenes when you can get 300 for $30 and download them in a month?

Stop starting new threads on this Paul. Keep your posts on this subject in your multiple other threads related to this.

Maybe you think you need to really compete to repeat your Troll Of The Year award or something. Nobody is even close dude! You have it wrapped up and can stop trying so hard.

Now the offline porn industry is a shadow of what it was. Their buyers moved to online. Sales for most in online porn are in the toilet ( ) and the new bogeyman is piracy. Some think shut off piracy and sales will return. They have no logical reason for this.

Manwin are going after anyone stepping on their toes and more importantly stepping on pirates of Babes.com. For the same reason sales will not return for the vast majority, they will return to sites like Babes.

Because 90% of what surfers are offered today is similar to what everyone else is producing to offer them.

Producing a product like Babes, is hard and the people who like it will go buy it. If they can't get it for free. Manwin is making sure they can't.

For the rest of the sites with content that isn't special, most of your consumers will be watching it for free on legal Tubes. Because besides the watermark it's indistinguishable from so many other producers.

Yes this is true. If your work is really good and not cloned by everyone else it will improve your income.

There is another to hitting file lockers. It tells affiliates you will do your utmost to help their sales. If people see it, like it and can't get it or similar for free. It's going to sell better than stuff they can get for free.

Let me see if I understand your statement.

If you have four thiefs in a city and decide to remove two of them then you won't see an effect?

I am starting to think Paul died awhile back and was an idiot and had his password as password and someone is just fucking with us.

I know we have some dumb people in this industry but I refuse to believe they are this dumb.

This isn't in regards to this thread, just the Paul Markham nick in general.

It's really gotta suck when NO ONE values your opinion or what you have to say, that you feel you need to keep spewing the same drivel over and over ad nauseum.

Things a retired person could do in BRNO

Freedom Square (Náměstí Svobody) forms the heart of the city. It's shaped into big reversed "A". Many cultural events take place here and there are always a lot of people here. It is closed for most cars and trams running through the middle. Also most of the interesting places in the city center are within 10 minutes walk from the Square.

?pilberk Castle (Hrad ?pilberk), ☎ +420 542 123 615 ([email protected]), [29]. May?Sep 9AM?6PM, Oct?Apr 10AM?5PM. Formerly the major royal castle in Moravia, the seat of Margraves of Moravia (Moravian rulers), and once the seat of the King of the Holy Roman Empire (King Jobst of Moravia). Later it become a famous fortress which was for a long time used as one of the most feared prisons in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Many people have been tortured here from all around Europe, mostly during the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Currently it's the city museum with restaurant and there's a nice park around it, open for walks and beautiful sightseeing, the castle and the park are parts of the national cultural heritage of Czech Republic. Permanent exhibitions Kč 120, casemates Kč 70.

Petrov Cathedral, Petrov Street, [30]. Cathedral: 8:15AM?18:30PM; tower: May?Sep 12PM?6:30PM, Oct?Apr 12PM?5PM; crypt: Tu?Su 11AM?5PM. St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, known as Petrov forms a dominant silhouette of Brno skyline. (Petrov is the name of the hill which the cathedral is built upon, not the cathedral itself.)

Church of St. James, Jakubské náměstí. This church is doubtlessly one of the most notable churches in Brno, it's a big gothic church, it was founded in the 13th century and since 17th century it stayed unchanged (which is quite rare). Beneath the church, there is the Brno Ossuary, the second biggest ossuary in Europe (after the Catacombs of Paris). The ossuary is not yet opened for visitors, however, it's planned for year 2012.

Old Town Hall, Radnická 8 (between Náměstí Svobody and main station). See beloved Brno symbols the Brno Dragon (Brněnský drak) and the Wheel. Also notice the lopsided tower above the entrance. Legend has it that the city council stiffed the mason who built it and he made the crooked ornament in a fit of pique.

Moravian square (Moravské náměstí) is the biggest square in Brno, it's dominated by the Church of Saint Thomas which is the last resting place of Jobs of Moravia, German King and Margrave of Moravia, the nearby former Governor's Palace offers permanent exhibitions of the Moravian Gallery. The square is located in the historical centre near the Freedom Square.

Denis gardens (Denisovy sady), it's one of the most beautiful parks in Brno, there is an obelisk and a colonnade, and it offers a nice view on the city, including the ?pilberk castle and the cathedral, also it is the oldest public park in the country which was founded by public administration authorities. It's located in the historical center, between the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul and the ?pilberk Castle.

Lu?ánky park (Park lu?ánky), the oldest public park in the country and the biggest park in Brno. There is an artificial brook with living fishes and a number of similar nice things. It's located north to the historical centere, about 15 minutes by walk, or 2-3 minutes by tram.

It is possible to visit the Villa by guided tour; tours are led hourly and must be booked in advance (see the Villa website at http://www.tugendhat.eu/). The building reopened in March 2012 after an extensive restoration, to international acclaim (http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesi...ies-brno-moore).

Capuchin Monastery (Kapucínský klá?ter), Kapucínské náměstí 5, ☎ +420 539 002 163, [32]. 15 Feb?14 Dec Tu?Su 11AM?4:30PM, May?Sep also in Mo. The monastery 17th Century lies right in the city center. Tourists love to visit the church, because of its Baroque statues and a mummified monks exhibition in an underground tomb. Kč 60.

Veveri street (Ulice Veveří), it might sound strange that some street is actually interesting but on Veveří, there is a group of outstanding Art Nouveau buildings called Tivoli (tram stop Konečného náměstí), and a number of baroque and other beautiful historical buildings. This is all a bit over your head if you think like this.

It's not about pirate, it's about surfers, user experience, etc.

Sounds like you do not understand what a file locker is. Hint: surfers use them.

I think Paul is right - Content is king - pirate or not - Contnet has to be fresh & good. Yeah - you could probably get MetArt / ALSSCAN somewhere, but - you will eventually CRAVE it and get your membership - if at all - the pirate is a porn affiliate that doesn't get paid!

Why pay $30 for 5 scenes when you can get 300 for $30 and download them in a month?
hurt payment processing for piracy and sales will rise...no doubt about it...not like they used to be but they will rise simply because user experience will become shit on file lockers...the demand will always be there for porn and when it is not given away for free by the truckload the tubes actually become a good advertising agent...laws will be passed soon...look what happened just in the last 6 months: sopa/pipa/acta/megaupload/ccbill drops lockers/ oron gets fucked...true that sopa and the other laws did not get passed but the initiative is not gone, not by a long shot...pirate tubes are next...some sort of sopa will pass soon...this will change things a lot...the world is in crisis and billions are lost on piracy...as money gets tighter those billions that the US gov could tax, that are going lost to piracy, are going to seem mighty appealing...

gideon will seriously be pissed off

Traffic are surfers who are people with needs. People with needs will always go to where the content is, they will then go to where the content they like is. And right down to staying a member. Content creates, moves, direct, monetises traffic.

The problem today is the people with needs choose the free porn content over the paid porn content. Unless we can turn that around, we can only remove the free. This won't help anyone with medium standard porn.

The reason for the traffic first model is simple. It's cheaper to buy in cheap porn and build an affiliates system than it is to buy great content and build an affiliate system. Few could afford it and the only ones who did it were the few who could shoot porn themselves.

Paul your own argument is flawed. If the stolen content is removed from the net, then the surfers will be forced to go back to the tgp sites to see the free. They WILL eventually buy.

trust me when I say that Piracy on the net will never be stopped. But we would never know if we did not at least try.
