    Wordpress question

So I got the notice to upgrade to the newest version of wordpress today. I backed up my databases and proceeded to upgrade. Afterward, the page redirected to a 404 at [mydomain]/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F which I continue to get when I log in. Other than that, the site appears completely functional.

My question is this: can this be undone simply by reinstalling wordpress, or will doing that mess up my plugins and stuff?

Alternatively, if someone has additional insight into what has happened/is happening and provide any info on how to fix it, it would be much appreciated.

Uninstall your plugins and see if the problem persists.

I had the same 404 problem with posts. Changing permalinks to DEFAULT then changing it back fixed the problem.

Thanks for the advice - I'm going to have a go at fixing it tomorrow.

What cheeses me off is I just fixed a snafu caused by a plugin update. I've given some thought to just ignoring future updates altogether once I get everything working the way it should.

Make sure the new install sent stuff to the right folder.
