Why is this tape so special that one has to have certification to apply it? What's so special about it. Can it kill someone if used improperly? Has anyone used it?

I read a headline the other day that said that there is no scientific proof that it even works.

Even if it's performance enhancing (dubious)...there has to be a point where the athlete must realize, "I look like a dumbass wearing this."
