I think it's one of those tippping point things. You either scrape by making decent or below average or you get over the hump so that your money is making you more money. Personally I think as an affiliate the money is no longer there to get you over the hump.

I think to make the good money as an affiliate these days you need money to keep pumping back in so it's not so easy to go from zero to hero so to speak. Kinda like the middle class in a way, it's become much harder to break out in this day and age as there is very little middle ground and you either are or aren't.

well, making 10K per month is almost impossible for the average ADULT AFFILIATE in year 2011.

If you are a sponsor owner, that is pennies of course.

but for the average affiliate its damn impossible to make that much, unless you are part of the 5% of HUGE SITES OWNERS like jizzhut or such sites that come from long time and still own the traffic from back days... but 95% of adult affiliates dont make that much anymore.

It was possible in 2002-2007 tho.. the average gallery submitter could do easily 15K per month.. just by working 5 hours per day. Now in 2011, even if you work 16 hours per day, 7 days a week, you will not make that much as an AVERAGE affiliate. even if you submit to the tubes all day, make new posts on your 200 blog network, you will not make that much as AN AFFILIATE WEBMASTER... Again, I repeat before an OWNER with 10 CCBILL sites with exclusive content quotes me... AS AN AFFILIATE... the affiliate model is quite dead, same as a biz where pornbb.org or extreme-board.com or filesonic.com are the models to make money.

To make some cash you must contact the companies and tell them: "hey I can put your ad on my network for 500 bucks per month"... and try to get 50 companies to pay you for that.. If you are so dumb to send 1000000000 uniques to their shitty cam sponsor and make ZERO SALES, you are wasting your traffic.. You must TELL AWEMPIRE TO PAY you with PRE-PAIDS ads... At least that's how mainstream works.. And I think adult should do the same.

The days where we affiliates are fucking DUMB and send 500000 free quality uniques to a sponsor that give us nothing in return, must be OVER.

I know.. I did 15K per month back then and 10 out of 10 friends I had that submitted gals, did the same money or even more.. But the times have definitely changed.

It's virtually impossible today for a newbie of possible up to 2-3 years to make anything like $120k annually in porn, unless she's a hot model based in LA and does everything. Even then might be tough after 6 months. Can be done but not every girl will.

The above applies probably to content shooters, affiliates and sponsors. Getting enough clients or traffic to make that much money with low skills is not on today. For a few years it was possible to throw out enough free porn to get enough traffic in a couple of years to get there. But no guaranty. It takes a lot longer than 2 years to learn how to shoot good porn to clear $1,000 a shoot from 10 shoots a month for 12 months.

People who have been in the game for decades know it was easy to get to that level fast 10 years ago. Today, forget about it. Some who were at that level would love to get back. We probably still make more than most of the trolls hare and we've been out of the business in real terms for 3 years.

Sorry to be negative, but it's true. Too many possible customers are stuck on a major Tube site consuming porn for free.

In exchange ask for banner space on the site you make them, have perspex covered posters in the urinals and backs of toilet doors promoting your memorable domain. Buy the pub or club coasters to replace the plain ones they use with your advertising on them.

When guys go home lucked out , alone and a bit tanked they may hit your site and sign up. When the pub or club advertises in club guides and street magazines your link is also in the ad.

This strategy makes me good money at almost no cost to me, we have heaps of servers, a local pub or club website wont break the bank. The constant reminder of your site everywhere possible in the club will pay off.

People who say there is no money in porn need to build these kinds of relationships to get your sites in front of a targeted qualified buying market.

have been in mainstream for 1 year now.. still a noob there but the difference I feel right now between mainstream and adult is that in mainstream every hour work equals money..

while in adult you can spend many hours to make galleries/blogs/tube submissions and make ZERO MONEY.. Even mainstream is starting to move away from that. If your traffic isn't productive then no one is going to 'prepay' you for it. If you have a large amount of unproductive mainstream traffic go sign-up for a CPM network and see how fast advertisers cut your site.
