Who's watching the Argos vs. Stamps in the CFL 100th Grey Cup today?

Better yet...who's turning it off during the Justin Bieber halftime show?

I'm tuning in just to watch Gordon Lightfoot.

Stamps got stomped. (AKA "Red Bombers" since several former Winnipeg players including QB)

All I could think throughout the halftime show was that other than Lightfoot it's a sad state of affairs what passes for popular in music these days. After about 15 seconds of Bieber I FFW'd to the 2nd half, watched for a bit and then switched over to the Packers-Giants game.

why would they put beiber on? his main audience is teenage girls, not football fans...

Other than Gordie Lightfoot - the halftime show as appallingly pathetic. Putting a lip-synching twink Bieber out there to an audience of guys who've been drinking beer since 10am had to be the outright stupidest decision ever.

And Marianas Trench - really - what the fuck was that?! I watched 10 painful seconds and headed to the fridge for a beer.

At least they had Burton Cummings do the national anthem. Although even that looked amateurish - Burton reaching over to switch on his $50 keyboard...then fluffs the words to the anthem.

For a country like Canada that has a wealth of incredible music talent - it was embarrassingly represented.

I'm not sure if by "fluffs" you mean fucked up or MADE up. Burton has sung it that way for years. That's HIS rendition. Not defending him btw, it pisses me off. Can you imagine an artist changing the words to the Star Spangled Banner? A riot would probably ensue.

Well, let's see...we just held our 100th Grey Cup.

Whereas...SuperBowl XLVII (47) will be held in New Orleans next year.

Goes without saying, of course...the NFL is still far superior to CFL. Hell, the majority of our players north of the border are Americans, lol.
