Is the A10-5800K a-lot slower than the I5-2500k??

I just sold my old rig to some guy for $450 and it was this

I5-2500k
Asus p8z68-m pro
Corsair Force GT 60gb SSD
16gb g-skill ripjaws (??9-9-9-24??) (4x4)

So I bought this

A10-5800k
Gigabyte GA-F2A85XM-D3H
90gb Kingston Hyper X SSD
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB low profile 16gb (4x4)

Is gigabyte pretty good, these days? I'd like to add some cooling and oc the piss out of it like I did back in the day.. I use to always run AMD chips extremely above their stock frequency on gigabyte boards... The I5 in my old machine ran up to 4500mhz no problem on stock cooling and I'm hoping to at least OC a little with the new machine

The total landed price on the new setup was $459 so I think I did okay.. and from the benches I can find, the I5-2500k is much faster overall, but the A10-5800K beats it in many single core things? That would be good, because I often have something that is only using one core and taking fucking forever. . .

For every day use, am I going to be pleased with the A10-5800k? I know the on chip graphics are a lot better on the A10 and I hated the Intel HD graphics or whatever the fuck it is on the I5 (and I don't care to fuck with adding a video card)

I hope you replaced your old hard drive. God only knows what some unsuspecting slob might see turning him into the next headline mass murderer.

Gigabyte - makes nice mobos - I have quite a few never had any problems...
Kingston SSD - I'd rather take Samsung or Intel
looks like a nice box...

The Corsair Force GT was a very reliable and fast drive .. Not sure what will happen with the Kingston, but I think it has the SF2218 which I think was also in the gt ... I guess (I wanted to get close to the same drive but cheaper and bigger) .. Mushkin makes one that was cheap too but it sounds like it's horrible

I sure hope it's not going to be all slow or anything due to the processor. I hadn't had an AMD in years so I thought what the hell. I was going for that 8 core one but then I read about it being a pile of bullshit that was overpriced
