:2cents Google Removed 50 Million ?Pirate? Search Results This Year

Not sure if it was posted already...

Over the past year copyright holders have asked Google to remove 51,395,353 links to infringing webpages, a dramatic surge compared to previous years. The search giant is currently processing half a million ?infringing? links per day, and this number is increasing week after week. At the same time, Hollywood and the major record labels want Google to increase its anti-piracy efforts.

nice climb there:

This is interesting. North America is this place that has record labels. They just have to be sure who has musical talent or not. Who is cool and who is not cool. Rappers? Concerts about smoking weed. Singers. Metal music. Who is copying. Guitars, drums and other music especially for new year 2013. Hollywood is interesting, it seems like they could make a collection of human artistic works to be seen even in 2100s, 2200s or 2300s. Art had to be art, otherwise business would mean a million labels that all say “Google.” Some links have to be removed, yes. I think this should be seen as a move for people to become more artistic overall.
