I lived a couple of years in the Ohio Valley, about 30 miles from Steubenville, and I still have some family that lives there. When I lived in the Valley I traveled a few times a week to Steubenville to train at Next Level Fighting since they had the closest MMA training facility at that time. That town is a giant shit hole, and the last time I was there a few months ago it's just gotten worse. High crime including an influx of big boy street gangs from neighboring states, very few jobs unless you are a coal mining lifer that has family that can get you into the mines, and an incredibly decaying infrastructure. Yet they still spent millions on that high school football stadium, and when I say that is all they have I really mean that is ALL they have. Most of the schools are in ancient buildings that don't have proper A/C or heating, but the football field is top notch.

If you've never seen the culture of high school football in Ohio and other Midwestern states you wouldn't believe it, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that they attempted to cover this up...

Not sure if I am reading what you posted properly or not BUT the case you are referencing there is NOT the same case.

The Steubenville case happened in August 2012. That article references a case that went to trial last February.

Unless I am just totally screwed up, which is always possible.

When I lived in the Valley I traveled a few times a week to Steubenville to train at Next Level Fighting since they had the closest MMA training facility at that time. That town is a giant shit hole, and the last time I was there a few months ago it's just gotten worse. High crime including an influx of big boy street gangs from neighboring states, very few jobs unless you are a coal mining lifer that has family that can get you into the mines, and an incredibly decaying infrastructure. Yet they still spent millions on that high school football stadium, and when I say that is all they have I really mean that is ALL they have. Most of the schools are in ancient buildings that don't have proper A/C or heating, but the football field is top notch. Jane Doe was administered a ?date rape? drug snuck into her drink almost immediately, possibly while still in the vehicle enroute to the nights ?festivities?. In any case, she has no memories after being picked up. The first party of the night was at the home of Assistant Coach Rick Cameletti, where Michael Nodianos, Charlie Keenan, Cody Saltsman, and Anthony Craig were already engaged in heavy drinking and drug use. At this location Jane Doe was raped multiple times by Richmond and Mays and at least two other assailants from the ?Rape Crew?. At that point the ?party? went on the move. They first stopped at another Assistant Coach?s home, Coach Belerdine. Belardine didn?t like what he saw, and asked them to leave. Once again, they hit the road with an unconscious Jane Doe in tow. While en route to Mark Cole?s house, Jane was again raped and sodomized in the back seat of a vehicle ? and this was video recorded by Charlie Keenan who was in the front seat. Her attackers in the car were again Mays and Richmond. Once they arrived at Mark Cole?s house Jane Doe was carried to the basement where she was again raped multiple times by multiple attackers, one of which was Michael Nodianos.
