Do adult affiliates exist these days? How do you get traffic?
Hell traffic generation use to be easy.. so long as you worked at it and kept doing shit, you'd keep getting traffic and it was worth something. Now it seems like I can't see any conceivable way to generate traffic, and the last few times I have it's been essentially worthless.
I'd love to find more traffic for shit like Naked News and Desktop Strippers and shit like that because I know they still convert well. But where in the hell do you start these days? Back in my day you made a bunch of pages and they got indexed and then you submitted galleries and they got listed. Both of those lead to sales. I was pretty creative- I even advertised my sorts on my IRC "fserve" thing.. I got non incentivized e-mail list signups and my IRC FILE SERVER was making $100+/day alone. Times sure have changed. I know that no one will tell anyone how to do anything in this business any more. . but I can't even see any general concepts of what works anymore besides ripping sites and making tubes full of stolen content (which ain't for me) |

You probably need to blog 8 hours a day just to keep the lights on. I'm getting back into it and I'm afraid that's what I will have to do.

That's pretty much what I thought. People have told me that they're useful but I always have hated blogs / blogging, so that wouldn't work for me. A few years ago when several people were telling me to do them I thought it was stupid- I thought it was a passing fad and that search engines were too intelligent to allow that to be successful for long. I was wrong, though.

Do something others aren't doing. Offer the user something they cannot get elsewhere. Overwhelm them to give them a reason to come back. I'm finding that it's hard to get anywhere with sponsor content and for most programs it's just not worth it to be an affiliate. It's spinning the wheels and going nowhere with the 0.75% ctr and the 1:5000 ratio. At nearly 700,000 impressions to make a sale you're almost losing money.
The problem with that is it will only worse until you get to the point where you are blogging 8 hours a day and even then you can't keep the lights on. I hate saying this but the paysite affiliate deal is 90% dead unless you already have the traffic and even then your cut becomes less every couple months.

Buy tons of traffic. But you have to experiment to what works.. Then when I find the right traffic match I go all in...

There's a few ways to get good traffic. When u figure out the formula, scale the shit out of it.
Google hits and blackhat works for me.

MId 6 figure income last year purely from affiliate sales. Work about 3-4 hours a day max. Not going to even give you a fucking clue though you loser.

Start some tube sites! They tend to rank good in search engines. Check out smutnode.com and register some domains and invest some time in setting them up.
We see people with almost no backlinks gettings 1-2K daily because of the long tail content! |

a good domain name helps and a lot of great content, if you do get a visitor you want them to stay a little. So use some of those nice templates you design.

There are still some existing but they are on the point of extinction. Why?
Well... the affiliates themselfs like to think it's because of free porn on tubes but studies are starting to show that it's more likely because of their own incompetance BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL PROGRAMS DOING BETTER THEN 1:500! making money and doing well! Scholars are now asking: are they walking in circles; sticking to their routine and promoting the wrong programs? Anyway... it's still very hard to find them... You have to learn to recognice their tracks to find them. Looking under stones and shit... Look for threads with titles like: -Program shaving? -1:5000 is normal these days! -Fucking CCBill is not loading! if it happens again i promise i will stop promoting CCBill-programs. -I would like to promote you but i don't want any money sitting at epoch. -CcBill Bill only! -Hahaha he's saying his program is doing better then 1:500 so he's a fucking liar so i'll stick to my 1:5000 programs. If you read something like that you can safely assume that you've tracked down a possible affiliate! What do all these things they say mean? -1:5000 is normal these days - They settle for it... if a program is doing 1:5000 they are satisfied with it. Why? Scolars are still trying to find agreement on a general explaination. Some say it's because of Hahaha he's saying his program is doing better then 1:500 so he's a fucking liar so i'll stick to my 1:5000 programs.... They simply don't believe that there are still programs doing better then 1:500. -CCBill only! when you read something like this the odds are high that you will read in the same thread something like: -I would like to promote you but i don't want any money sitting at epoch. Both statements are connected in a way. Now let's get a closer look at these statements... CCBill only could mean that the affiliate in question is too lazy to join a new program because then they would have to open a second screen (if you are promoting ccbill-programs you have to login and open ccbill stats-screen to check if there are any sales. If they would also push for example an epoch-program then they would also have to login at epoch to open their stats and uhhh... yeah... how should i say this.... some affiliates are not ashamed to clearly tell you that they are too lazy to open a second screen). If CCBill only is said in combination with I would like to promote you but i don't want any money sitting at epoch. the odds are high that that affiliate will send you about 10 hits a day so he would need 4 years to make it to epoch's minimum payout amount. Scholars say that affiliates could still make decent money and sales only if they would be brave enough to walk outside the paved paths everyone is walking on a try something different. General misunderstandings among affiliates are dismantled by these scholars: There are still programs doing better then 1:500. Some even do 1:339. Scholars say that affiliates forget the fact that when you send 500-1000 uniques to a 1:339 program you won't be having money sitting at epoch but you will reach minimum amount every week! Good luck with your search MrMaxwell... let me know if you found any! ![]()

The affiliates who are still doing well today are getting highly organized, work hard and think outside the box.
The days where you could half ass this job are coming to an end.

Either free content give away fest or some magical "outside the box" idea that many people recommend, but they are not sure what it is themselves. Its been down since it became acceptable to give free full length content for free.
