For all other agencies, do not involve yourself in this capture or recovery of me. Look at the big picture of the situation. They (LAPD) created the situation. I will harm no outside agency unless it is a deadly force/IDOL situation.

Update from my designer (from radio station in Big Bear Lake and also her observations) via email"

"There's a constant caravan of police vehicles going by ? constant ? I lost count at 40 ?
The resorts have been shut down ? and there were at least a dozen helicopters that went by. They are not right here so I think he's not around here ? but the entire town is nuts right now ?

update: they think they have him cornered into a certain area by the resort ?
nothing's confirmed ? "

I think that is pure speculation; am watching live and they are still looking with roadblocks on the highway.

Stop watching live tv and tune into the Big Bear radio station, the source of all knowledge and HQ news reportage, including UFO sightings

I wish more people would leave long-ass letters like he did before going on a rampage. It sucks when a person snaps and kills people with little to no explanation.

a few more visuals and speculation:

"we just had 7 ambulances (AMR) go by ... not with their sirens on ... and tons more helicopters ... some news and some swat ..."

"one group of cop cars was about 25 or more cars from Rancho Cucamonga .. which isn't even close to where the crimes took place and not close to here either. and there's a lot of unmarked cars in between the police vehicles ... looking rather "official" ... probably the FBI at this point ..."

"probably 80% of the town is totally locked down. I don't even know if the kids were able to leave school yet..."

"relatives of the guy [fugitive] may own a brewery up here [Big Bear] and may have been on his list"

Seems like they are all from San Bernardino County... Most of these cities will have a joint assistance agreement in place and every pitches in to help.

Our city here has only a dozen officers, and when we had that train fire and the town had to be evacuated.... We had cops from all of the place.

It seems to be a message against LAPD brutality and coverups. This wouldn't be happening if he had been falsely accused of stealing lunches from the refrigerator.

LAPD shooting up those two trucks and killing people just because they thought he may be in them helps his cause.

On a somewhat related note (but not really), a little-known fact is that Rambo committed suicide in the original ending of First Blood. You can see this ending right here:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=bn187skbynQ

Crazy stuff, right? Thankfully they changed it and opted for an ending where he actually lives.

Timeline of all incidents from a local. Editing and filling in as I get more details.
Sunday Feb. 2nd:* Former LAPD officer wanted in connection with murder of two people in Irvine, CA. The woman being the daughter of a retired police Captain who was involved in the suspects termination hearing. The other victim was her fiance. Suspect was employed from 2005 to 2008 with the LAPD and was fired for "allegedly lying about actions of a fellow officer" he reported for abuse.
Last few days: Suspect posted his 20-page manifesto to Facebook. His profile has supposedly been deactivated since.
Tue/Wed: Suspect was in San Diego County within the last 24-hours. Spotted near the Loma Lake base which was locked down and reopened. It has been confirmed he stayed at a hotel near the base on Tuesday, checking out Wednesday.
Wed. Night: Suspect allegedly tied up an 81-year old gentleman and attempted to steal his boat but was unable to operate it. Suspect's wallet and a detective badge were found nearby. State-wide alert goes out via California Highway Patrol.
Thu. (~1:30 AM): Citizen notified police that were protecting another of the suspect's targets of a truck that fit description. They followed and one was injured when the suspect fired upon them, grazing his forehead. They were not able to give chase.
Thu. (~1:35 AM): Just minutes later around 5 miles away, two officers sitting at a red light have the suspect walk up on them and open fire. One officer is killed, the other is injured but expected to recover. Story here.
Thu. (5:15AM): A patrol unit assigned to protect a different target identified blue truck with the two ladies in it delivering newspapers. Reportedly the lights were out and officers opened fire in rapid bursts, a brief pause and then more bursts (according to witnesses). No details known on if they identified themselves. Both women were hit, one twice in the back and one in the arm. Both are expected to recover.
Thu. (5:20 AM): A few blocks from the first accidental shooting, police were responding to the shots fired calls and came across another similar pickup truck to the suspect's. There was a collision to the rear of the vehicle and police fired three shots (at least) into the windshield of the driver who was luckily uninjured and not involved.
Thu. Mid Day: An UNRELATED high speed chase was shown on local news. It was originally reported as a carjacking/stolen car and that there was a female driving and a possible male passenger. She ended up being alone, picking the wrong day to flee from police.
Thu. (1:41 PM): A burned-out truck matching the description of a getaway vehicle owned by triple-murder suspect was found in the San Bernardino mountains (Big Bear). No VIN was legible but it's believe this is his car.
Thu. (~4:00 PM): There is a large operation going on in the SB Mountains/Big Bear involving SWAT and other agencies as they scan the area. This is the primary search area right now, given the vehicle found. They have actually asked air news teams to not show what they are doing, something the news claims is an unusual request despite the seriousness of this situation.
editing/updating as I can.

This is of course exactly why only police officers should have guns.

to anyone jumping into thread, these are email notes from my web designer who lives in Big Bear Lake:

"neighbor listening to police scanner... Glendora P.D. are on alert to come up to Big Bear."

"k we now have Hwy Patrol with sirens ON and going very fast speeding by ..."

"police confirmed that the burned vehicle on the 2N10 was the truck used by the suspect"

"schools are closed, no longer on lockdown. nearly all businesses and stores in the area are closed. law enforcement are going door to door searching in a specific area"

"they are using dogs .. his scent was picked up and his tracks (foot prints and something he is dragging … ammo and guns I would imagine?)"

"if they don't find him, it's going to be a very long night"

News: Package was sent to Anderson Cooper containing a DVD and a coin with a bullet hole

"so from where his tracks were spotted ...

he's got three directions he could go in (the far east is totally undoable for him ? near Erwin Lake and the high school)

So he could go north into town

or he could go south deep into the trails and canyons (may be likely)

or he could venture west .. this way ? which would by the road out of Big Bear"

Well, he is not shooting random civilians, he seems a man on a mission, albeit a suicide mission -- we all know how this will end most likely ... He won't be the last man standing.

Curious that he would abandon his vehicle in the wilderness and light it on fire, unless he wanted to draw attention to it (either as a diversion or as an ambush trap).

If he was trying to hide in a rural area, why draw attention to himself? If he wants to pursue his vendetta, I would think he would remain in the city. Of course, he could have already set off in another vehicle well before the fire was detected, and eventually traced to Dorner.

His actions seem purposeful, although it's not clear how much advance planning has gone into his rampage, or if he is just improvising now.

Crazy stuff...

Supposition as to why he chose to go up to Big Bear when his boat-jacking attempt failed:

Today and tomorrow were supposed to be discount lift ticket days for active Law Enforcement, Military, EMS, Firefighters for "Uniform Days" at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. "This special offer is to show appreciation and support for your hard work."

If this is how cops act with just one lone gunman (i.e. completely shitting their pants), I'm not too worried when the govnt uses them to try and impose a fascist state.

Unless he is about to expose the truth of what really happened on 9/11, he's got no right to be shooting and killing people.

So that is all I have to do and I can start shooting and killing people?

Oh yeah. That is what George Bush did and he got away with it.

Yes, absolutely. This was in the email from my designer friend before she decided to get some sleep.

"I think as of night time they are doing more covert searching ... heard they were coming our way door to door. saw lights on my outside window ... looked over there and definitely they were flashlights ... went downstairs and opened the front door (toward the street) ... and you could see, kinda hidden ... cop cars parked out of view and cops walking around with flashlights."

"Big Bear not so easy to do door to door searching. many seasonal rentals empty ... some skiers and snowboarders only come up on the weekend anyway."

article w/ daylight pics of door to door searches etc

Why do you "pro gun" people always try to lump "all" so called "anti gun" people in to one group which is at the very extreme end of the argument.

I have heard not a single person advocate that only cops or military should have guns. In fact most so called anti gun people, that I've seen talk about guns, are in-fact not "anti-gun" as you claim, but rather "pro-regulation".

People want to make it harder for criminals & the mentally ill to get their hands on guns. It's called forcing gun owners to be responsible. You know that word that the far right has forgotten about.

Btw.. this is a pic of the car the LAPD thought was his and they shot the fuck out of it including the two women whom were inside.. whom were of course not the suspect..

edit.. I just wanted to add that not only did the cops shot at this truck and injured the two people inside it but they also opened fire on a 2nd truck that was not his. Luckily no one was injured in that one. Perhaps it's was a good thing he burned his own truck so the cops would stop shooting at random blue trucks..

It might have something to do with trying to ban assault style weapons and magazines with more than 7-10 rounds of ammo in them...

I think everyone is for what you said, even though it would NOT of stopped anything.

The Assault Rifle Ban, is a name and nothing else. Any Gun owner knows this. You simply can't have certain things on certain guns or combinations of specific items. Yet you can still own AK47's & M16s til your heart is content.

They should call it's a anti sporterize your guns bill, because that's far more accurate that calling it a "ban".

One of this guy's motives is he wants more gun control, according to his manifesto.

edit.. I just wanted to add that not only did the cops shot at this truck and injured the two people inside it but they also opened fire on a 2nd truck that was not his. Luckily no one was injured in that one. Perhaps it's was a good thing he burned his own truck so the cops would stop shooting at random blue trucks..
they should lose their jobs and pay for this shit. its going to cost the city a bunch of money.

Mental examines isn't going to work.

In the past 24 hours LAPD shot 3 people & destroyed 2 trucks.

Black Rambo shot no civilians unrelated to his cause and cause zero private property damages.

So what's the update on this? GFY is my first source of news on crap like this these days. He's still on the loose? Cops shoot blindly at anything else barely matching a description?

I have heard not a single person advocate that only cops or military should have guns. In fact most so called anti gun people, that I've seen talk about guns, are in-fact not "anti-gun" as you claim, but rather "pro-regulation".

People want to make it harder for criminals & the mentally ill to get their hands on guns. It's called forcing gun owners to be responsible. You know that word that the far right has forgotten about.
I'm all for sensible regulation, I just haven't heard of any yet.

Making it harder for criminals to get guns by placing regulations on legal ownership is not going to work. prohibition didn't work last time is was tried and our highest crime rates are in the cities with the highest regulations

His actions seem purposeful, although it's not clear how much advance planning has gone into his rampage, or if he is just improvising now.

Crazy stuff...

So when someone talks about not allowing the sale of a 30 round ammo clip you're going to say that if a criminal wants one he can get one anyway?

LET the criminal go and find himself a 30 round ammo clip once it's illegal to sell them. LET the criminal go find some assault weapons once it's illegal to sell them. STARVE the beast and the beast eventually DIES. There is not one single person out there laboring under the false belief that a stroke of a pen today will solve all deaths by gun tomorrow. There will be no instant gratification and everybody knows that.

The whole thing about "it didn't work last time" is so ridiculous that it's not worth mentioning beyond stating that because such a statement is unprovable! It's a complete hunk of red meat for people to argue about and waste time on.

By the way, why do you think a ban on large clips and assault weapons is to keep them out of the hands of known criminals? Last I heard, it was to keep them out of the hands of responsible citizens who then go batshit crazy and shoot up schools and movie theaters! What's your idea of a reasonable regulation regarding keeping those things out of the hands of those people who are indistinguishable from your or me or the next guy?
