Signs of crisis and signs of no crisis

What are the signs you see?

I see it because many people say they experience it. Some workers i know get paid less because they have been told it's crisis.

Government social programs are cut off in Europe and the US is constantly looking for some anti-crisis programs - that's what i read in the news

Other than that i see sales on usual porn sites are down, but it's more impacted by free porn and customers behavior rather than crisis.

There might be some signs at stock and other financial markets, but i have no clue about it. From my perspective it's just a bubble which dropped and things in economy get slowed down (i don't say they got more real, because they didn't)

Why i'm bringing this now? Because it's like 5 years since crisis has been announced and i still don't give a fuck what's going on. Things are slow in my 3rd world country and it looks like only established country got hit.

I'm curious about developed Europen countries webmasters - what do you guys say about this crisis? How do you see or experience it in your day to day life?

Many people or their relatives from Ukraine are working in EU and they say it's much harder to find some work in countries like Spain and Italy, where they used to work for 10-15 years with no problem (legal with low salary or illegal).

I think once you hit a certain age... You notice that crisis comes and crisis goes, and not much changes in the mean time. Unemployment goes up, then it goes down. After a while it all blurs together.

The shit storm is long from over. The US has just delayed what is going to happen anyway. Euro land is likely already experiencing depression, the US was close but spent more money then is imaginable to get out of it. Once China starts to back their currency with gold the US will be in deep poo poo.

Here in The Netherlands... I don't know of people that lost their job... I'm still in a fucking traffic jam everytime i get on the road and i still see bmw's, mercedes' and audi's blasting the highways... So regarding the crisis... i hear a lot of talking about it but i can't really see it...

When the crisis hit my country (Denmark) in 2008, the consultancy agency I worked for had 72 employees. A year later it had 23. That was no an unusual thing. But this is also one of the industries that got hit hard.

My house was worth around 2,100,000 DKK (about 365K USD) in 2008, today it's probably worth 1,400,000 DKK (about 243K). I bought it in 2007. So that's not being sold for a while

Last month, public schools were closed for a full month, because the teachers didn't accept the governments wanting them to work more for the same money.

In 2008 there were 60,000 people without a job. Last year that number was in 160,000.

Unemployment benefits have been cut from 4 years to 2 years (still a fucking long time to be sucking on the teet of society - though our new socialist government just made some "rescue" plan to help people that's hit by the cut *shakes head*).

We're still one of the "richer" European countries and one of those that's not taking a huge beating. Try asking someone from Greece, Spain or Italy if there is a crisis? Fuck yea there is.
