i have 3 dogs and i used some of his methods to train them and they are fine. haters are going to hate.

however like i said i used some and my dogs where not crazy from the get go.

the main technique he has is talk to the dog like a dog not like a human works wonders.

and i've seen people irl try and use those methods and it's sad what they do to their dogs and the fact they think it is right and ok.

The trainers I've interacted with all laugh at him as being a great entertainer & terrible dog trainer. Given that these guys are who do now or have at some point trained for agencies like the Border Patrol & SF with great success, I'll go with their opinion. The only related TV show that they've said "those guys are actually decent" is the one on NatGeo about the working dog/GSD kennel... Alpha something.. can't think of the name now.

obviously they will say it sucks other wise if the say he is great why in the fuck would i pay them if i can do it for free

fact is he has made a fortune with his techniques which goes to say a lot specially in a porn forum where a great majority says they have a hard time making money.

yes exactly, totally agree. i think there are problem dogs. and dude points out on his show that's usually due to problem people/owners.

but what he is doing is packaging up a way to deal with problem dogs as a way for people to handle their dogs in general and putting that together into a documentary style entertainment show.

he doesn't present any alternatives either..which always struck me as odd.

but specifically, we have a guy that could not run his own life, could not run his marriage or be a proper dad and end up with no money and *attempting* suicide back on television telling people how to dominate their dogs.

that's fucked up!

I never watched his show,but i did watched a show where they send bad british dog owners to learn how to control their dog.What i learned from there is:
-you need to show who is pack leader
-dont allow them to jump on you
-dont shout on them
-always have them in your vision circle

Granted I have only watched a handful of his shows, but I never saw anything that was close to animal abuse, much less "beating and torturing the dogs."

He's not a dog trainer hes a dog psychologist. If you had watched the show you would know that.

BTW, the name of the other show is Alpha Dogs is unwatchable and phony.

There isn't really too much wrong with his methods other than the physical touch. Most other trainers are idiots compared to Cesar. He's a great advocate for dogs, saving doings, teaching people about dogs, not sure why you are hating on him. There's a post about China killing the rain forest, maybe go hate in there.
