Medicine was the main topic of a recent TED Talk by Lee Cronin, a chemist from the University of Glasgow. He allegedly built a prototype for a 3D printer that can assemble chemical compounds on a molecular level. Even if it's true or not, this invention would radically change how pharmaceuticals develop, manufacture and distribute medicine.

Cronin explains the process. Users go to an online drugstore with their digital prescription. Purchase the "blueprint" and the chemical "ink" they need, and then print the drug at home with software and a 3D molecular printer.

you can make plastic stuff with the plastic feed using 3d printer.
so if you have raw material then it can be done. but i guess there is more than just mixing the raw material while making drugs.......
