Sure. You can use it, but this is not a recommended domain extension to use. It also depends on what type of site you are using it for. I would never use this extension for a membership based paysite. That's for sure. But whatever you are using it for, it will most likely not rank well with the search engines. Don't waste your time or money.

TLD has nothing do to with ranking or not... It doesn't matter.
I was able to rank some .us, .me, .biz, even the cheap .pw with no problems in top of google above .com with same keyword tail, if you have a good keyword and proper SEO, then nothing will stop you. |

I am not an expert on the technical side of how domain extensions are ranked by the search engines, and I never said that a .US domain would not rank well. That's why I used the words "most likely". But I do think that most people would agree that this is not the preferred domain extension to use. I don't think I would ever really bother with registering one, but I suppose you could give it a shot and see what happens.
I do know that there are all sorts of variables that go into good search engine placement, and the domain extension is by far not the most important aspect of it, by any means. But if you register it, good luck to you. Hope all works well. ![]() |

Question: Does the PHP instead of ccbill or nats code really make anything for you in SEO in your blogs?
