Warning: Namecheap.com purchase got my Creditcard banned

It seems there have been a lot of stolen cards used on Namecheap lately.

15 days ago I got my creditcard banned, and they dident want to tell me what site was the reason my card was closed. When I used my new card today, for the first time(on Namecheap), I got a SMS message within 5 minutes with a "early warning". I managed to get a hold of my bank and tell them to whitelist the site, and that I take full responsibility for any charges from that site.

This proves it was Namecheap, and the bank-support admitted it when confronted. It's seems they use stolen creditcards to buy overpriced domains listed for sale by scammers.

Money laundering sucks

Fix: Charge it through Paypal

Are you actually saying Namecheap uses stolen credit cards to buy their own overpriced aftermarket domains? I would take you to court if I was Namecheap

I tried to renew a domain name about a month ago with paypal. I never could get paypal to work on their site. I had to use my card.

All that "proves" is that either you or your bank. or both are a sandwich short of a picnic.

Ferus, Posting possibly erronosey about a company on GFY because your card got banged is wrong and could land you into some hot water legally. What should do instead is call your bank, ask that they refund any unauthorized charges, and tell them your card # has been compromised so your card won't be charged for anything else.

The way I read it, there are no unauthorised charges; the OP is suggesting that his bank's fraud system is flagging his transactions based on past history with that merchant (for ALL cardholders)

Ya I don't think he was trying to accuse namecheap of anything. Obviously If he thought they were doing anything wrong he wouldn't be trying so hard to give them his money.

yes, that was what I was trying to say.

In no way was I trying to blame Namecheap.

It's creditcard thiefs using their site, that created the problem.
