What browser do y'all use as primary these days? - GoFuckYourself.com

I've been using Firefox for years now but it's gotten totally bloated & slow - even IE works faster in my experience.

Chrome is fast but still can't render all pages properly (especially buttons & other interactive features, this has been an issue for years). Plus I'm not too keen on Google collecting my browsing info.

I don't use IE, because well, it's IE. Though when I do load up the most recent version (usually to test page design) it actually seems an improvement over Firefox.

Opera I don't have much experience with.

Safari works fine on my Apple devices, not so much on my Windows machines.

So in my experience there's no clear winner unfortunately. But gotta make switch from FF, it's really gone from best to worst for a while now. Curious what everyone here uses, and what plugins they find most useful if any...

Huh. Yeah, I think most recently I was trying to buy NBA tickets or something but couldn't find the submit button anywhere using Chrome. After a couple minutes of WTF I used Firefox & it loaded right at the bottom of the form. IE loaded it fine too. Had this experience more than once over the years, probably they've improved tho...

using Ice Weasel on debian / fire fox clone. no issues other then needing the flash plug in installed. will install it latter today.

Do you FF users find it loads - both new windows & actual page rendering - at like half the speed of the others?

No. It's fairly decent. Are you sure you didn't have any poorly written extensions or malware type plugins slowing things down? I notice for example the Firebug extension can cause all sorts of problems if you don't make sure to disable it when it's not needed.

Chrome is faster than Firefox, yes. But Firefox has more features. It's like comparing a battleship to a racing boat.
