Who likes country music?

I've got maybe half a dozen country albums but I've always liked country music, just wasn't cool to like country - i'd watch the country music video channels for the hot chicks but i liked the music too.

love this Darius Rucker cover of a song that Bob Dylan mostly wrote.

post your favorite country songs from youtube.

I saw him performing this, of all places, on The Dan Patrick Show a few weeks ago.
He's great. Cool crossover!

I shot Hootie & The Blowfish for MTV about 20 years ago, in ATL @ the Hard Rock there...cool dude.

I like a lot of different types of music including some country.

Here are a few I like

George Strait

Garth Brooks

Wilco. Although many don't consider them country, they are often classified as alt.country. This is a great song from one of the greatest albums of all time.

Keith Urban

Blake Shelton

And, I know I'm a 42-year-old guy and not a teenage girl, but I like me some Taylor Swift. It doesn't hurt that she is smoking hot.

RIP Keith Whitley (1954 - 1989) - my favorite country singer of all time.

One of the best country vocal performances you'll ever see - K.T. Oslin doing "Hold Me" at the 1988 CMA Awards (gave me goosebumps watchin it that night):

Classic Alabama:

And for you southern country rockers - Molly Hatchet - RIP Danny Joe Brown (1951 - 2005)

Gram and Emmylou

In the Grand Ol' Opry in the sky, Gram is pickin' n' grinnin' with Hank Sr., while Carl Perkins plays tastier licks than a bucket of fried chicken on Sunday.

Country music is about partying or about felling delf depressed and most of it is depressing boring gay liberal lame shit, pretty much every forum of music next to trance is better.

Agreed, "alt-country" is the real country music today...

Keith Urban? Taylor Swift? All three Hanks would line up and form a firing squad for even suggesting it. That is pop music with the soul completely torn out. Nothing wrong with that, everyone has to make a living, but real country music today sounds more like this...

Same here. I listen to a little of everything. Good music doesn't need to be 'labeled'.

Sweetheart of the rodeo is a great album. i probably listen to it once a month or so. i love townes too but one major complaint i have is that his music was messed with too much on his albums. i'd prefer it more stripped down like this
