Is a 403-forbidden a pageview in analytics?

Just migrated server (from apache to nginx). I have these strange pageviews now in analytics: from 50.000 daily to 800.000 daily. Not realistic... How could this happen?
Could a forbidden 403 (to prevent hotlinking) counted as pageview?

Any other ideas what might be the cause?

Not unless you have your GA code on your 403 page, which you almost certainly dont.
Probably someone ripped off your design and didn't remove the GA code.
