An incident report says Nugent told police she forgot the weapon was in her bag while trying to catch a flight Thursday to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She told police she began carrying the handgun after receiving death threats. She's licensed to carry a concealed weapon.

I'm getting a wiff of irony here. Anyway we at GFY do love our gun threads, so... let's talk about how someone who is 'liscensed to carry' should be allowed to CARRY. And, if a few passengers during 9/11 had been CCers things might have gone down differently.

I'm sure people forget legitimately, but you know the saying.. ignorance is no excuse. It seems to apply here. As has been pointed out, forgetting it was there is terribly irresponsible in and of itself. Scarily maybe.
