Arsenal agree £42.4m deal for Mesut Ozil
That will spice things up
![]() " Arsenal have agreed a £42.4m (50m euros) deal with Real Madrid to sign Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil. The 24-year-old has agreed personal terms but must undergo a medical before Arsenal can complete what will be a club record signing. The medical will take place in Germany, where Ozil is on international duty. " http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23929339

As Real Madrid fan, hate to see him leaving, one of the collateral effects of Bale's and Isco signings that would relegate him to the bench. I would have sold Di Maria instead.

I too would be sorry to see a player like Ozil leave my team. I'll tune into some Real Madrid games now that Bale's there, see how he gets on

Dissapointed Man Utd didn't grab Ozil instead of, allegedly, chasing after Fellaini. Fellaini is a Volvo, Ozil is a Lamborghini. It boggles my mind.

Fellaini is not Man Utd class IMO, he is a good player for Everton because he stands out, throw him into the Man Utd midfield and he is no better than Carrick, not exactly the marquee signing I feel Utd need. I think there will be some more big moves before the day is over, Real Madrid have opened up some spots and may still look to sell 1 or 2 more players and potentially make a last attempt to buy Suarez which could lead to even more buys. |

Man Utd dont need Ozil...
Comparing him to fellaini is crazy.. fellaini plays deeper, ozil plays as a number 10 utd have rooney and kagawa who can play in ozils role.. utd need central midfielders, Ozil is not a central midfielder |

There's been talk of Kagawa heading back to Dortmund. And as for Rooney, well we all know what he's like. He might seem happy again for now, but give it 3 or 4 months and he'll be moaning again, and i suspect by the time the January transfer window opens we will go through the same shit with him again...

Ozil is the creative element Utd needed to get the absolute best out of the others around them. Half of the problem with Wayne Rooney right now is that he wants to be the goal scorer, the top man, RVP is in that spot and Rooney isn't happy. Personally I'd take Ozil over Rooney anyday of the week. I'm a huge Rooney fan, always have been but objectively looking at it I'd say Ozil would have been a great signing for Utd, far better than Fellaini will be. |
